When We Receive the Holy Spirit

Published on Apr 25, 2015

Sermon for Sunday, April 26, 2015. This is the thirty-first sermon preached in English on thecloudchurch.org. It was preached by Pastor/Missionary Evangelist Robert Breaker, and shows exactly when a Christian today receives the Holy Spirit of God. According to the Bible, it is when he believes the Gospel. (Eph. 1:13). Bro. Breaker also shows how in the book of Acts other people received the Holy Spirit in other ways, but that was because they were Jewish Believers, and because the book of Acts was in transition.

 Today, we are saved under the ministry of the apostle Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, and we receive the Holy Spirit the way God revealed unto the apostle Paul, by faith alone. This is a real eye-opener, and shows the transition in the book of Acts from receiving the Holy Spirit by water baptism and laying on of hands, to receiving the Holy Spirit by FAITH ALONE in the GOSPEL (1 Cor. 15:1-4)
 The Gospel that SAVES!

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

1 Moreover brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which ye have also received, and wherein ye continue,

2 And whereby ye ARE saved, if ye keep in memory, after what manner I preached it unto you, except ye have believed in vain.

3 For first of all, I delivered unto you that which I received, how* that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures,

4 And that he was buried, and that he arose the third day, according to the Scriptures

*through the shed BLOOD of JESUS!

      15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

      2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

      3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

  3. Salvation

    We believe that in this Dispensation of Grace
    , God justifies ungodly sinners by His Free Grace, upon the grounds of the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, through the means of Faith. We believe that salvation in the Dispensation of Grace is unearned, unmerited, and surely undeserved on man’s part. Rom. 3:24-28, Rom. 5:1, 5:9, Titus 3:6, Eph. 2:8,9, Titus 3:5, Rom. 4:5.

    We believe that the only means of salvation in this Dispensation of Grace is by trusting that Jesus Christ was crucified, buried, and resurrected for your justification (forgiveness of sins). 1 Cor 15:3,4, Rom 4:25.

    Eternal Security

    We believe that all the believers in the Dispensation of Grace have received the Atonement of Christ’s Blood for their sins upon trusting the Gospel and because of that fact, they have Eternal Security and do not have to endure to the end to be saved. We believe that all believers in this Age have an unbreakable relationship as Sons with God the Father and are sealed unto the Day of Redemption by the Holy Spirit. Rom. 5:11, 5:1, 5:9, 1 Cor. 1:8, Eph. 1:13, Eph. 4:30, Phil. 1:6, Col. 2:8-13.

    1. Mark 3:28-30 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

      28 Verily I say unto you, all sins shall be forgiven unto the children of men, and blasphemies, wherewith they blaspheme:

      29 But he that blasphemeth against the holy Ghost, shall never have forgiveness, but is culpable of eternal damnation.

      30 Because they said, He had an unclean spirit.

  6. Brett, that's MUCH better!
    Name: Brett https://themeaningofthename.com/brett/

    Gender: Male

    Usage: Brett, of anglo-saxon origin, is a very popular first name. It is more often used as a boy (male) name.

    People having the name Brett are in general originating from Cayman Islands, France, Ireland, United Kingdom, United States of America.

    Hans is a Germanic name (I'm Dutch) from Johannes (my official first name and say Yohannes) and it derives from the Hebrew name Yochanan, meaning 'I AM (that I AM) is merciful' and it's JOHN for men or JEAN/Johanna/Joanne/Joanna in English for women, to give a few examples and there are also more versions in Dutch and German.

    1 Corinthians 14:26 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

    26 What is to be done then, brethren? when ye come together, according as every one of you hath a Psalm, or hath doctrine, or hath a tongue, or hath revelation, or hath interpretation, let all things be done unto edifying.

    Yes, let's EDIFY one another and this is my revelation:
    JESUS is not dead and the earth is flat so that every eye can see Him when He'll return.

    The flat earth TRUTH isn't about ETERNAL salvation!

    We don't HAVE the Holy Spirit (JESUS in spiritual capacity) we are SEALED with HIM:
    Ephesians 1:13 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

    13 In whom also ye have trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, even the Gospel of your salvation, wherein also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the holy Spirit of promise https://plus.google.com/106087908907898703754/posts/CQXGSTN4RUn
